2. Authors: Dannika does not cold contact authors via email/social media to give marketing tips or refer you to a marketing service. If you received one of these, it's a scammer. You can read more about these type of scams on Writer Beware. If you get an email/DM from an author you've never talked to that segues into a referral or link to marketing services, stop. Find that author's website and contact them directly to confirm.
