IMPULSE cover reveal

I decided to do this like a Bandaid and just rip it off! The anticipation was killing me more than it was anyone else. I'm really happy with the end result, and think that it works well with the series. It was labor intensive, and I can't thank my friend Lea enough for hearing me whine and complain. I don't know if many Indie authors design their own covers, but I can tell you that it's something that I take seriously and invest a lot of time and attention on.

To give you an idea of what was involved: I had about 6 models to choose from. I ended up with 65 Mock-ups!!! 65!!!

Yes, different variations of each model/scene. I narrowed it down until I felt the model really fit well with the series. Face-forward is bold (this I know well), but it was time for Silver to come to the forefront and get up off the floor.

Before the book is published it may be tweaked a little, but this is it, so I hope that you are all as excited as I am about the release of Impulse. Due this Fall! :-)

Cover Reveal Coming Soon

Keep your eyes peeled because I plan on doing the cover reveal for IMPULSE within the next week! I'm very excited and nervous all at once, because I design my own covers. If you talk with anyone who knows what I do, you'll know that I don't just slap a model on a background. I spend weeks--months working on it. It requires cropping, layering, blending, enhancing, colorizing, and acquiring the right images that not only work together, but connect with the series. The covers cannot look dramatically different.

I had a larger selection of models, but narrowed it down based on a number of factors. Yep, I made a bold choice, but in the end I'm happy with it. There are probably 30 layers on this cover. By layers, I don't just mean images, but layers of light, screens, and even small images incorporated into an image for detail. Considering I have ZERO experience in doing this professionally (let alone never having gone to school to learn digital art design), I think I did a pretty damn good job.

This just proves that some authors DO care a lot about their covers to not get a cheap generic picture and slap a title on it. It's a visual representation of our book and a welcome mat for potential readers.

STERLING was a bear because I only had two model choices. One of them never responded to my inquiry. The second model was so gracious and while I had a selection of images, I chose the one I did because it caught my eye. That's how I shop for models on the stock sites that contain hundreds of thousands of images. I scroll quickly until a picture makes me stop.

TWIST was fun because I had several different ways to go with models. I had one girl in a hoochie mama shirt which I STILL love and want to use, but it just wasn't Silver. Someday I might break out a blog of the covers that didn't make it. Won't that be fun? I need to wait until the series is over before I open that can of worms.

I've also created an insert image, like I did with Twist. Remember the last image in the book? Well, I'm doing something like that again for IMPULSE. ;-)

Interview with Simon Hunt

Today I'm pleased to introduce you to Simon Hunt, one of the characters of the Mageri Series. After running a poll, Mr. Hunt won by a landslide. Readers were also given the opportunity to ask questions... a curve ball that Simon wasn't expecting.

When I arrived at his flat, he answered the door just as you see him in this picture. I told him that I would wait in the living room while he got ready.

Simon flung the door closed, tucked his hands in his pockets and said, "Oh, I'm ready. The question is, love, are you ready?"

For a little big of background, Simon Hunt is a Mage who does freelance work, but has a reputation as a strategist. He's originally from England and now resides in Cognito.

DANNIKA: "Hi, Simon. Thanks for taking a moment out of your busy day to do an interview."

SIMON: "Pleasure." He eases into a chair directly across from me and stretches his legs out.

DANNIKA: "Let's start off with a couple of questions so my readers can get to know you better. Tell us a little bit about your Breed, occupation, and where you're from."

SIMON: Rubs his fingers together and a faint blue light is barely visible. "Mage, of course. Profession? I guess you could call me a jack of all trades. I don't believe in selling my soul to the Mageri full time, or any other bloody organization. Too many hidden agendas and I'd rather do something worthy of my time. Not to say I haven't done a few odd jobs for them," he says, waving a dismissive hand. "I prefer to freelance and work on my own schedule. Ah, and you asked me where I'm from? The other side of the pond. My accent seems to have this rather amazing trick of dampening knickers."

DANNIKA:  "What's that you're drinking?" I nod towards the coffee mug on the table beside him.

SIMON: "A bottle of red I swiped from Justus's wine collection. It's probably worth a bloody fortune. Doesn't have a clue you can get a perfectly good jug for a few pounds."
He snorts and dips his finger in the cup before putting it in his mouth.

DANNIKA: "How did you two meet?"

SIMON: "A card contest."

DANNIKA: "What were you playing for?"

SIMON:  "A woman. She was..." Simon uses his hands to feel the curves of his imaginary double-D breasts. "A lovely young woman. Had every man in town after her. One night the stars aligned and we all ended up in the same tavern. I caught on to his gift fairly quickly so I invited him for a friendly game of cards to level the playing field."

DANNIKA: "So who won?"

SIMON: He smirks and leans back with his fingers locked behind his head. "Who do you think?"

DANNIKA: I smile. "Who went home with her?"

SIMON: "I would have, let's get the record straight on that one." His hands drop to his lap and he crosses his legs. "We did a little binding in the back room and one thing led to another. She was a Mage, so that's why we were both after her," he explains, taking a sip of his drink. "The ratio of  men to women among our kind is abysmal. When her husband showed up, he wasn't all too pleased. In my defense, she didn't mention a word about being a bonded woman. Justus claims he knew, but that manky bastard was ready to take her out the door and shag her in the nearest barn, so anything he tells you is a pack of lies."

DANNIKA: "Fast friends ever since?"

SIMON: "You know Justus - always doing the right thing. He intervened when two men held me down. I still contend that I would have bested that Mage."

DANNIKA: "Describe yourself in one word."

SIMON: "Available."

DANNIKA: "If you don't mind, I have a few questions from a few readers."

Simon stands up and paces to the kitchen, snatching a small apple and tossing it in the air.
SIMON "I'd really like to hear this. Tell me, Miss Dark, what are the readers dying to know?" He crunches into the apple and takes a seat.

DANNIKA: "If you could play twister with any celebrity, who would it be?"

Simon chokes on his apple and coughs several times before regaining composure. He washes the food down with a gulp of wine and sets the apple on the table.

SIMON: "Catwoman."

DANNIKA: I frown. "That's not a celebrity."

SIMON: "Maybe not in your eyes, but in mine she's a goddess. I love a woman who looks good in latex. Especially when they give good tail. Not to mention I do love a good pus--"

DANNIKA: "Yes, I think I know who you mean now. Next question: Have you ever been with another Breed?"

SIMON: "Jack of all trades, remember? I have a black belt in sex appeal. I must confess I prefer a Mage. I like to get "hands on" when it comes to--"

DANNIKA: "I'm sorry to interrupt, but can we keep this PG-13? It's going to be published on a public wall."

SIMON: "Only if we can get rated R later. I didn't realize all your questions would be about shagging, Miss Dark."

DANNIKA: I chuckle as he smooths his hand down his chest. "Perhaps next time we'll do the uncensored version. What intrigues you about a woman?"

SIMON: "And you want me to keep this censored with a loaded question like that? Tell me, who's asking these questions?" He waggles a brow. "I'd like to pay them all a visit and show them what intrigues me. Seriously, I like a woman with confidence. Nothing is sexier than a self-assured woman. Except maybe large--"

DANNIKA: "If you could go back and change one decision in your life, what would it be?"

SIMON: His face darkens and he rubs the back of his neck. "Some things aren't worth mentioning. Silver wasn't the only one with an unfair beginning."

DANNIKA: "Do you want to talk about it?"

SIMON takes a deep breath and stands up, tugging at the collar around his neck and hovering beside my chair. "What's the next question on the list? I'd rather not drag down a perfectly good interview." He peeks over my shoulder, trying to read the paper.

DANNIKA: I smile at the bulge in his pants. "Empty your pockets and show us what you got in there."

SIMON: "Just a bunch of rubbish," he says, digging his hand in and tossing items on the coffee table. "Wallet, pack of bubble gum, a few coins, oh...I forgot about this," he says, holding up a piece of paper with a lipstick kiss on it and a number scribbled in.
"Will have to give her a ring later, that one. She likes to play games." He tosses a cell phone and a few coins on the table before fishing out a small pocketknife from the back.

DANNIKA: "What's that for?" I point at the miniature chess piece shaped like a queen. It's so small that it could be concealed in a fist.

SIMON shrugs. "Luck? I've had it for years; carry it now and again when I need it."

DANNIKA: (laughing) "You thought you'd need it for this interview? I promise I won't bite."

SIMON'S tongue rolls across his bottom lip and I catch a glimmer of his piercing.
"Ah, but I might.  I've been looking forward to this interview since the poll went up. Can't say the results surprised me; Knox being the master of the four-word vocabulary. You would have had to bleep the entire thing. Interview would have sounded like the emergency broadcast system." Simon snorts and finally sits down. I notice that the ends of his jeans are so frayed he looks like he walked forty miles barefoot.

DANNIKA: "Out of all the jobs you've done, which one do you most enjoy?"

SIMON: "Easy. Weapons trainer."

DANNIKA: "Tell us a little more about what that involves."

SIMON: "Well," he says, crossing his legs, "Some of the Learner's are a pain in the arse, but I do enjoy building up their skills and showing them what they can do with a knife. You'd be surprised how few Creators truly know how to fight--that's why they created all of their progeny. Someone to fight for them. My job is to do a bit of what Justus does with Silver, only..." he snorts, "not muck it up. I respect the man, but he relies too much on his fists and energy. You can't do that in a fight; a Learner must know how to handle a weapon properly. When it becomes an extension of you and not simply an object in your hand, then you're unstoppable. I've also received requests from other Breeds and it pays well. I call my own hours and there's no politics involved. Just good old fashioned combat. It involves thinking strategically."

DANNIKA: "If I went out to your car and turned it on, what music would be playing?"

SIMON: "Beastie Boys." He takes a long sip of his wine. "What? Did you think I was going to say Mozart or something like that? No, love. I'm a man who enjoys the classics."

DANNIKA "One last question: What are three staples that are always in supply in your kitchen?"

SIMON: He rubs his hand slowly down his chest and smiles wolfishly. "Whipped cream, tequila, and chocolate icing."

I'd like to thank Simon for gracing us with his presence in his very busy schedule. :-)

Trying to schedule my time

Breaking down my work schedule is not an easy thing to do. As mentioned before, I have a regular day job that is stress induced. So writing time is shaved down to the hours after work and weekends. Right now, I'm in one of those zones that allows me to do more things because the betas are reviewing the book.

So during this time, I'm doing the following:
1. Reading
2. Dabbling with my Novella
3. Light editing on Impulse
4. Cover art
5. Blog tours

So, the cover are is something that I really need to just finish. I decided this weekend I'm going to FINISH IT. Or try. Don't you dare hold me to that. ;-)  Reason being, the betas are due to return their comments by August 8th. At this time, I'll have one month to do my last edit before the book goes to the editor.

By then, I should have released the cover art.

While its with the editor, I'm going to work on my novella more seriously. All aspects. This includes the cover, and I've already come up with two title ideas. It will still need to get it's own edit, and I may have to try to schedule this with someone else. My goal is to try to have two book releases this year.

Once I hit that publish button on Impulse, I'm going back to reading for a little while before starting up book four. I seriously need these breaks, no matter how quickly I want to publish my own books, I'm an avid reader and I have to get in my reading time. Usually I do it at work or in the car, but I prefer to sit down for hours at a time and devour a book.

Be sure to check out the BLOG TOUR link. I'll be adding events as they are scheduled. Support those websites because they support indies. Plus, some of them have some great reviews and giveaways.

I'm really anxious to get the books out on paperback, so that is going to be something I want to tackle for next year. I'm not familiar with the ins and outs of paperback publishing, although I'm sure it will take time (which isn't something I have at the moment to carve out)

The pic above is one I designed the other night when I was thinking about how many books chop the heads off of their male cover models and slap a torso on the cover. I get irritated with that because I think there are ways you can make your male model mysterious and hidden without decapitation. I have some fun things in store when I release my other book series. I can't wait to tackle a new genre of cover art.

All stock purchased.

Sample Sunday

His soft voice against my ear was the last thing I heard down a long hallway of nothingness.

“To succumb to death, the bite must be with all four teeth—otherwise it only paralyzes our victim. You are so eager to play with fire, but are you ready to get burned?”

Something sharp lightly touched my ear.

Title Reveal

I have procrastinated far too long. I could have gone a number of ways with the title (including my alphabetical naming scheme) but went with my first instinct.

This is NOT the official cover - just a little fun to introduce you to the title of book three of the Mageri Series.
When will it be released? This Fall!

Interview Winner! ASK YOUR QUESTIONS

The votes are in. Out of the following: Knox, Sunny, Simon, and Finnegan, voters decided they most wanted an interview with the one and only Simon Hunt.

Who naturally stole the show.

After he checked the votes on his laptop, he spun around in his swivel chair and stretched out like a cat in the sun. "Told you," he said with smirk. If I didn't know better, I might say that he hacked into the poll and figured out a way to alter the votes. He's got a thing about losing.

This is an opportunity for the readers of the Mageri series to ask Simon some questions! Simply comment on this BLOG message (If you are reading it from Facebook or Goodreads, you need to link directly to the blog and not reply to the post on that site. I will not be able to keep track of all the different locations questions are popping up) and list your question(s). I will not publish them on this thread so that they'll remain private (for my eyes only). Random questions or comments will be selected..

All questions or comments submitted by July 25 will be considered. Let's keep it fun, so put your creative thinking caps on and see Simon says.

The Great Novella Caper

And I'm calling it that because it stole a weekend of my time that I should have been working on the cover for book three. I've always been a novel writer and personally haven't read that many novellas. I love getting wrapped up in a long book or an engaging series, so it always felt like when I read them that I wanted more.

This past weekend, I decided to write a character that was pacing around in my head. The story unraveled into something different than what I've written before and ended as a novella. My intent was just to hash out the character, see if it was something I could work on in the future. Little did I know this man had other intentions. So now I'm sitting here with an unexpected novella. I'm having a few people read it to give me their feedback on how serious I should take publishing this. Right now, it's pretty tempting. I like the idea of having two book releases this year and because of its length, that would be a strong possibility.

The book will introduce new readers to my world without throwing them in head first. That's a pun, and you'll get it when the book comes out.

When it comes out.

See there? I've already said it. That's jumping the gun, because I haven't received all of the feedback just yet. I shouldn't let that be the deciding factor, because the characters and story sucked me in and that this is the reason why the Mageri Series exists. It's a world that engaged me as a writer. It's also exciting because this is not a spin-off novella. I think those are fine, but as a reader, I usually skip over them when I'm reading a series. Sometimes there's too much I learn about a character and I'd rather have some of that to my imagination.

This book sparked that desire to start writing something fresh again, and that's a little dangerous considering I have several other series books that are waiting for publication. It takes a lot of time to get them ready, but now that I've taken my first stab at a novella (unintentionally), it's quite possible I might do this again as an exercise in writing. If something comes out of it, then you might see it on Amazon.

So, stay tuned for updates on the third book in the Mageri series. The beta read should be completed by the first week of August and it will be prepped for the editor. Between now and the end of August, I should have the title nailed down and the cover. I procrastinate. But I always get the job done.

A hint about the Novella?
Well, I've revealed that it involves a character named Kane. A life is taken, and a life hangs in the balance.

That's all I can say for now. You know how I am about spoilers. ;-)

Writing again

It's been a long time since I've written anything new and fresh, because I've been buried in the world of editing books that have already been laid out. However, this week I had a character pacing around in my head with a story to tell me. I was excited to have someone new and wondered where it might go. I planned to start writing a little bit this Saturday, but got a jump start on it.

After two paragraphs, I was shocked. I allowed the character to show me the scene and after a little head-hopping, found out that this was no stranger. He's a character "mention" in the Mageri series (never introduced) and I never even considered bringing him into the series or writing about him. Yet here he is, with his own little book and twisted tale.

And boy, is it twisted. I had written out his description and last night while looking at some photos, found a face that could remind me of his. Not the long or light hair, but that intense gaze with slanted brows. I'm still writing out the story as of this morning and have made it to 3200 words. At first, I thought this was going to be first person, but I feel more like a spectator in what's happening to him so it had to be third. I've already got the story outlined in my head (and a few scribbles of paper) so I know exactly where it's going. I don't know if this little novella will ever see the light of day, but it's exciting to start up something new in my spare time.

It's still a WIP so I can't divulge many details outside of the fact it's based around a character named Kane.

Now, on to other news! The blog tour is underway, so be sure to click the link at the top of the page and keep checking back in as new dates will be added. This is a fun promotional opportunity and to be quite honest, I've done no marketing for myself, so this is a new experience. I love the book bloggers. They have been so accommodating and friendly to work with! Be sure in addition to checking out my scheduled event that you also check out their sites and follow.

It's that time again. Cover art design. It is so easy for me to design covers or art for others, but summarizing my own book in a visual format is stressful! I've got some FANTASTIC mock-ups that I'm really proud of and I hope whichever way I go, that fans will appreciate the hard work that I've put into them. And yeah, I hope that you like it! I have two models that I'm trying to choose from and both are VERY different in not only the pose, but the overall feel of the cover. Two completely different directions, and one hell of a decision to make before I begin. Those that I've asked like both for different reasons, and honestly I've gotten opinions that are pretty 50/50. That doesn't make it any easier, so I guess I'll have to go with my gut. But my gut likes both!!

Damn my gut.

That's right. My very first character interview is scheduled and I'm taking a poll to see who you want to interview (left menu bar). This is something fun and different, because I'm going to allow readers to submit questions. Keep in mind I won't be divulging secrets to the series; this is an interview to get a little close and personal with the character. I cannot WAIT! And I love that everyone has received a vote. That's why I started the first poll with just four, because I wanted to give everyone a fair shot at the opportunity. You never know who I might put on for the next one - maybe I'll just have a face-off between two characters for you to choose from.

And my mind has been deprived for far too long. During my break while the betas are reading, I'm gobbling up a few books and it's wonderful. I usually try to fit in reading where I can but during the last phase of editing, it gets hectic. I must admit that I'm one of the very few people not getting swept up in this 50 shades craze. In fact, I'm rather tired of hearing about it referenced all the time. It's becoming too Twilighty and while I think it's fantastic that this author has become so popular and received so many opportunities, the premise of the books are not my thing. To each his own.

It's amazing all of the things that have come from Twilight. I read the books but never watched past the first movie. It's a little angsty for me. Talk about pressure for an author to follow their own shadow. I don't think I'd ever want my first series of books to become THAT popular that fast. That's a lot of high expectations to put on an author for any new books. I thought the Hunger Games was a far better series with a much stronger female protagonist, if we're talking YA. I'm not much of a fan of YA books, but I won't turn one away if it's good. Even when I was a young adult, I didn't read young adult. ;-)

I've finally gotten around to reading reviews - although as an author I really shouldn't - but I'm curious as to what readers are saying. The reviews have been so generous and I'm glad that the Mageri Series is reaching a wider audience. I did chuckle at one that referenced "adult scenes" as being unnecessary. I have to say that personally I'm not a fan of erotica, where the book is nothing about sex, but I do not mind romance novels because sexual situations are part of our everyday life, and that does not make our lives pornographic. Is it necessary? Well, from a procreation standpoint, yes. But it's an expressed emotion--an experience between two people that is the most intimate that you can be. I always said that I'd never exclude adult situations from my books if it was right for the characters. Tension in books is also fantastic, but I've read series that extended the tension with the promise of leading somewhere and it became more frustrating than wonderful. That's why at the end of classic romance movies, the guy gets the girl with a satisfying kiss. We eventually need to see a resolution. I don't write the kind of books that will contain sex every two chapters. I also don't exclude it from my book to retain a PG rating. It is what it is. So when you see "Adult Urban Fantasy" on the description, please don't be surprised if there's some "adult" in there. Sex is a beautiful, natural thing.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand in other news, I will be buying fish this weekend. Because clearly, sex is a great segue for fish.

I'm not sure why I need to announce this officially on my blog, but I mentioned on my Facebook page that I saved a kitten the other week from certain death. It crawled up in someones tire in front of me at a fast food drive-through and I leapt out to pull it from the tire. Unfortunately, the little stinker wiggled free and ran off. Since then, I've been having kitten fever. I already have a crazy cat so I don't need another. My theory is that a few fish will abate those urges for new life in the house. I'll be sure to post pics. I really don't want another beta because I can only put one in the tank, but my tank is a 5 gallon so I'm not sure that it leaves me with many options.

Wednesday, July 11, 2012

Please check out the left menu bar on the main homepage. Enter your selection for the poll. This poll ends on July 21st.

Who would you like me to interview? I'm going to host a character interview on my blog and will do this over time, providing a list of choices for readers to select. Can't list them all to start, so I wanted to give each character a fair shot.

I will not be asking my characters anything that would divulge details in the story, but once the poll ends, I'm going to post the winner and allow readers to come up with questions! You'll simply have to reply to the blogpost I put up and your questions will be considered.

This will intimidate my characters - having the readers ask some of the questions. For one, they're expecting that I'm going to be writing up all the questions for the interview, so maybe they're feeling a little safe.

So start thinking of some creative ones. You never know what kind of simple question might provoke a candid or even hilarious response. If you have any general questions which could apply to anyone, reply directly to this message and I'll collect them on an interview document.

Have fun! Let the voting begin

What do you mean I have to market myself?

Oh yes, the dreaded marketing. As if editing the books aren't tedious enough, I actually have to promote them? Gah! Well, given that book three is off being reviewed, I've finally got some free time. I am still not ready to work on the book cover because I need to mull over the mock-up designs I have before the quantity gets out of control.

And trust me folks, right now, it's out of control.

So, I took a little time to offer myself out for a virtual blog tour. I created a link on the top header bar where you can look at past and future appearances. Just doing these to get my name out and have some fun. The giveaways will be ebook, but don't think that I haven't been plotting out swag in the future. I need to get a few things in order, but I think that is going to be a HUGE celebratory day when I get these books in print. I think that's pretty swagworthy.

But in addition to the blog tour, I'm thinking about fun blog posts that I can include on my own site. Maybe an inside look into the development of a character or series, or a character interview. Maybe a deleted passage, short new scene written on something random...at this point, I'm open to any suggestions if there's something that you the reader would really love to see. :-)

As stated on my Facebook page, a new character has been pacing around in my head. I have been so consumed with editing these already written books and getting them published that it's been a while since I've written anything fresh. I'm getting that itch. Not only that, but this guy is persistent and doesn't want me to ignore him.

So, I decided that this Saturday morning, I was going to get up early and plop on my loveseat before dawn. The plan is to spend a couple of hours giving birth to this character who keeps showing me things and I'm just curious to see where it goes. What I know about him is that he wants to be the protagonist, he's a Sensor, and he's bee up to something very bad.

That's all I ever really know in the beginning until I start hashing it out. Maybe it's the beginning of a new series you'll see someday, or maybe not. I think there's a reason for everything. My failed vampire novel birthed a lot of characters, character names, and even a few concepts. So it wasn't a total failure.

Btw, it feels so GOOD to be reading again! The editing can take a lot out of my days and while it's with the betas, I get to immerse myself in some of the books I've had on my TBR list.

Calgon, take me away...

Great News!

Mageri Series book 3 is inching even closer to publication. Today I completed the last edit prior to the beta read and once this process is complete and I've tweaked it, off to the editor it goes! WHEN? Fall.  And no, I still haven't named this book yet! I'm such a last minute scrambler, but that's how I roll.

Critical Weekend

This weekend, I intend to make a significant dent in the editing, if not finish it. Book three is still slated for a Fall release, and readers are re-reading the series in preparation. Please continue to spread the word about the Mageri series, as the best marketing tool is worth of mouth.

Readers are still enjoying the different Timeline covers I've created for Facebook - free to use. I'm trying make them all a little different and I plan to add to this gallery over time. Right now, I'm gearing up for the cover design, but I'm up at 5am on a Saturday to do some editing and it's going to be a long, LONG day. Of course, I'm spending it all with Silver, Justus, and friends, so it's not all bad.

I have to say that while the editing process is not always *fun* (especially when I have deadlines to meet) I absolutely enjoy reading my books. Just when I think I've read them more than anyone else, some of you readers are out there to prove me wrong! I think that's when I personally feel ready to publish: If I can continue reading my book that many times and still not get bored with it, still get excited with every passage and character introduction, then my hope is that readers will too.

Can't wait to begin a bit of a break from editing this month, too. Aside from editing, I'm going to be doing a lot of catch-up reading! My Kindle is ready to burn the midnight oil, as well as a paperback or two. I can understand authors not always having time to read (although you need to make time), but I never really connected with the author who simply didn't read much. How can you be an artist and not enjoy other people's work? Hoping at least one of these books blows my mind.

I'm wondering if I should bother maintaining the glossary on my blog; does anyone read that? I decided against putting one in the book because I felt it was self explanatory. I go over the details of different Breeds, and I believe that readers can pick up on the nuances of the writing, such as the capitalization rules.

Please visit me on Facebook and LIKE the page. They'll be the very first to hear about updates with the books. Also, if you haven't already, check out the books on Amazon. "Like" the book or my author page, and consider posting a review. Add tags, read through reviews and click the ones you find most helpful as "yes" and the ones you didn't as "no".

I know every writer has those pipe dreams of where their novel could go, and I'd love to be able to look back and say, "Here's how it all began..."

Except maybe I'd be telling that story to Barbara Walters. (ha!) But I can't tell you how many times I fantasize about leaving my day job, walking out and telling everyone what I actually do for a living. Maybe in time as I prove that I'm around for the long haul and continue to offer fresh new series, that dream will become a reality. Well, at least the part about leaving the day job...

Have a great weekend! Much love,

Free for you

Another Facebook Timeline cover? You bet.

Right now I'm super busy editing the last half of book three! I will return to the land of the living soon enough.
