Getting things done

It feels great to have some free time again between now and the release of "Twist". I caught up on reading today and finishing up "Drink Deep" by Chloe Neill. On to Lords of the Underworld, as I really want to continue with this series, but I'm half tempted to pick up something random from my TBR shelf for lighter reading.

I have 3 days off this coming up week, and I'm not sure what I'll do with myself. I might go bowling, I definitely need to fill my house with some food. I'm beginning to think a bachelor's fridge looks more plentiful than mine! I have no new updates at this time, just letting you all know I'm still alive.

Thanks to everyone who continues to recommend "Sterling", review it, tweet it, what have you. The support is tremendous.

This post I decided to put up a few of my favorite things, simply because I like being random.

I loved Muse before they had much radio play. I still enjoy them, but there's always something special about finding an artist all your own, that no one else knows about, that hasn't hit that stardom yet.

Oh, my lollipop lovin' friends. If you enjoy a good sucker, then give these a try. Chocolate, cafe latte, butterscotch, and vanilla. Vanilla is my least favorite. I received a box for Christmas and polished off the last one this week. It's a cryin' shame.

Vampire wine. It's really not bad, and was at the World Market in the novelty wine section around Halloween. It's the only time I ever find it. SO stocked up on some extra bottles of Merlot, Cabernet and Pinot. The back of the bottle of Merlot has a quote from Lord Byron:

Thy victims are they yet expire
Shall know the demon for their sire,
As cursing thee, thou cursing them,
Thy flowers are withered on the stem.

Snow. I live down south, and we see it every so often, but mostly we get a lot of ice. The past couple of years we had freak snowstorms that produced 8-12 inches of snow, which is record snowfall in our area. There's a different attitude up north, because they see it all the time. Down here? Grown ups build snowmen, because that's how we roll.

In front of gas stations. Where people pull over to have their picture taken by them. This year has been warm, and I'm a little sad that we haven't had much of a winter.

In book news? This was pretty awesome to spot this morning on Amazon UK.
