As i eased into my new chair, wrapped myself in a blanket, and thumbed through the pages of my new book, the chair began shaking. I snapped the book closed and glanced at the arm of the chair and visibly saw that I was moving. The cords began swinging from the blinds and the glasses were clinking in the dining room.
An earthquake struck Oklahoma just a few miles from where my brother lives, and early reports are ranging it between 5.2 - 5.6. They experienced one earlier this morning, but said this one was stronger. It's amazing because I'm down in Texas about 2 hours away and felt it. Earthquakes are nothing new to me as we had them often living overseas, but it's disorienting to experience one in a city that is more known for tornadoes.
Ah well. *tucks blanket back over feet and re-opens my book*
