How you see yourself will never be as important as how others see you. As much as we'd like to believe it doesn't matter, it does. How much of it do you take seriously, and how much with a grain of salt?
While cleaning my email folder, I found this picture my dad sent me years ago. It was a letter i sent to my grandparents when i was 6. I seriously hope that they didn't take offense that i saw them as chimney smoking fools.
A small part of me wishes they had looked twice at themselves and how I saw them. My grandpa died 4 years later from lung cancer.
